Vejiqueños are my first exploration of translating the Vejigante mask into a miniature form. I handcraft each pair in manipulated bronze wire, distilling the essence of the mask into a sculptural, architectonic design. Through reduced scale and structure, these earrings honor puertorican's tradition while reimagining it through contemporary jewelry.
